TurboRater API
We believe agencies, carriers, lead providers and aggregators should be able to pick the technology and workflows that work best for their organizations. Our goal is to enable an open and growing insurance market. This is why we integrate TurboRater with more than 25 agency management systems and many other vendors and partners. In 2010 we built a complete API for our comparative rating system so third parties can use the program’s features from any internet-based system. The API methods TurboRater offers include rating and quote storage.
Rating API
Using TurboRater’s Rating API, you can get rates from ITC’s available carriers through a single quote request. The API delivers additional functionality for third parties to receive different pay plans; get rates for a single agency or for multiple agency/carrier relationships; receive responses batched or threaded; and send and receive data in either JSON or XML formats.
Quote Storage API
TurboRater does more than rating. It lets agents store and access previous quotes. You have access to these features with TurboRater’s Quote Storage API. Using this API you can create, review, change, and remove quotes from the TurboRater online quote storage system. This allows you to access and manage all stored quote data. For records rated earlier, you can access the carriers and rates for all previous rate iterations. You can configure an external URL to receive push notifications of updated or changed records for maintaining synchronization.
Software Development Kit
We built a software development kit (SDK) to help you easily set up TurboRater’s APIs fast. The SDK allows a developer to use ITC’s policy objects when consuming the before mentioned rating and storage APIs. It is available for the .NET framework and in C#. The SDK gives code examples for help in other languages.
