ITC Increases Security and Uptime of Its Insurance Agency Websites with Dyn
Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC), a provider of agency marketing, rating and management software and services, announced today that it has switched its hosted DNS services to an anycast DNS network with Dyn, a cloud-based Internet Performance Management company, to improve its resiliency and mitigate the effects of DDoS attacks.

Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC), a provider of agency marketing, rating and management software and services, announced today that it has switched its hosted DNS services to an anycast DNS network with Dyn, a cloud-based Internet Performance Management company, to improve its resiliency and mitigate the effects of DDoS attacks.
Anycast DNS routes each request to the closest server, which reduces downtime for name server events and provides a faster network. It increases DNS lookups by 400 percent, which means Insurance Website Builder websites load faster.

The anycast DNS network also provides horizontal scaling, which deploys an additional server if one server is being overloaded and limits downtime. Because of the horizontal scaling, DDoS attacks are less likely to affect Insurance Website Builder websites.
